Erika Zuchold, nÚe Barth, (born 19th March 1947 in Lucka, district of Altenburg) is a former East German gymnast. She won four silver medals and one bronze medal for East Germany at Olympic Games. Zuchold became universally known for being the first woman to compete the flick-flack element on balance beam on the 7th June 1964. At the World Championships in 1970 she won gold at Vault and Balance Beam and silver in the Individual All-Round. She was sportswoman of the same year in East Germany. She quit her career after the Olympic Games in 1972.
